Job Description
Signature HealthCARE is seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, resident-centered care.
In this role, you will provide comprehensive evaluation, treatment, and management of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders for adults and older adults in a post-acute and long-term care environment.
Working closely with an interdisciplinary team of nurses, therapists, physicians, and social workers, you will design and implement individualized treatment plans that support each resident’s goals, maximize functional communication and safety, and enhance overall quality of life.
You will conduct thorough assessments, including standardized testing and bedside swallowing evaluations; develop evidence-based interventions; recommend appropriate diet modifications and safe-swallow strategies; and educate residents, families, and caregivers on communication techniques and compensatory strategies.
As a key member of Signature HealthCARE’s collaborative and innovative culture, you will contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives, participate in care conferences, and help advance resident-centered, outcome-driven practice.
You will document services accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record, ensure compliance with regulatory and payer guidelines, and maintain high professional and ethical standards.
This position is ideal for a Speech Language Pathologist who is passionate about serving medically complex and geriatric populations, values strong teamwork, and is motivated to grow clinically in a setting that encourages continuous learning and meaningful community impact.
At Signature HealthCARE, you will have the opportunity to help revolutionize healthcare delivery through compassionate service, innovation in care, and a deep commitment to the well-being of residents, patients, families, and the broader community.

Frequently asked questions
What license do I need to apply?
An active state license in your discipline (PT, OT, SLP, LCSW, LPC, BCBA, etc.) in good standing. Therapy licensure is state-specific — the PT, OT, and ASLP-IC compacts let you practice in member states without a separate license.
Is this a school-year or year-round position?
School-based therapy roles typically follow a 9- or 10-month school-year calendar with summers off. Outpatient, hospital, home-health, and telehealth positions are year-round with PTO. Both options are widely available — check the job description for specifics.
What experience is expected?
Most therapy roles welcome new grads through mid-career clinicians. Specialty positions (acute care, NICU, pediatric feeding, hand therapy) typically prefer 2+ years plus relevant certifications.
