About This Role
As an inpatient Speech Language Pathologist at CentraCare in Freeport, you'll work directly with hospitalized patients to diagnose and treat communication and swallowing disorders. Your days involve conducting evaluations, running diagnostic tests, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering therapy services. You'll function independently while also collaborating with doctors, nurses, and other clinical staff to support patient recovery. This role suits licensed SLPs who are comfortable working in a hospital setting with diverse patient populations and who can manage their own caseload while contributing to a multidisciplinary care team. You'll take ownership of patient progress while staying flexible to coordinate care with other departments.

Join our team in order to prevent, assess, alleviate or correct communication, swallowing or other speech related disorders. Responsible for evaluating patient needs, conducting diagnostic tests/procedures, establishing treatment plans and providing treatments/services accordingly. Responsible for independent therapist functions and delegated therapies which may be performed in collaboration with other health care team members or may be delegated by the therapist to the patient or other informal care givers who reside with the patient. In cooperation with other health professionals, the SLP will develop and implement specialized treatment programs as appropriate to meet patient needs.

- Master's Degree in Communication Disorders from an accredited university required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider card per established policy required.
- Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Current State of Minnesota Registration (to include a CFY Temporary License from the State of Minnesota required.
