Requirements
Active SLP license in good standing in the state of employment
Minimum 2 years of recent acute-care experience in the specialty.
BLS required. ACLS, PALS, or specialty certs depending on unit.
Ability to stand for long shifts, lift up to 50 lbs, and assist with patient transfers.

Yes — PT, OT, and SLP licensure is regulated state-by-state. The PT and OT compacts (PT Compact, OT Compact) let you practice in member states with a compact privilege; SLPs use the ASLP-IC compact. Non-compact states still require a state-specific license before you start.
