About This Role
This PRN or part-time position offers speech-language pathology services at a skilled nursing facility in Florida. You'll work with residents recovering from health changes, developing and delivering treatment plans to help them regain communication and swallowing function. The role allows flexible scheduling typical of PRN/part-time arrangements, making it suitable for clinicians seeking variable hours. You'll collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team focused on resident-centered outcomes. This position is best for licensed SLPs with experience in post-acute or long-term care settings who can work independently and adapt to a facility-based schedule. Current clinicians or those seeking supplemental work will find this arrangement appealing.

Frequently asked questions
How does PRN therapy work?
PRN (per diem) therapists pick up shifts or visits as needed without a fixed weekly schedule. Some employers require a minimum number of shifts per month; home-health PRN is typically paid per visit.
Does PRN pay more than full-time?
Yes — PRN hourly and per-visit rates are typically 15–35% higher than full-time staff rates, since the role doesn't include benefits or guaranteed hours.
Are benefits included?
Most PRN therapy roles do not include health benefits or PTO; the higher rate offsets that. Some larger systems offer benefits at higher commitment tiers.
