Shady Grove Medical Center - Behavioral Health seeks to hire an experienced Behavioral Health Therapist who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. ** Qualified candidates will be eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus. (*Current AHC employees not eligible – see below under additional details.) As a Behavioral Health Therapist, you will: • Initiates and implements complete, comprehensive psychosocial assessments • Provides individual, group, and family therapies to clients and their families • Participates in and interdisciplinary treatment team to propose and develop strategies and interventions that would promote excellent therapeutic outcomes • Assesses and intervenes in cases of suspected/disclosed child/adult neglect/abuse issues Documents services provided and disseminates information/reports to community referral sources and agencies, i.e., DJJ, DSS, HHS, APS, CPS, LCC • Coordinates with the interdisciplinary team, referral sources, and community resources aftercare and supportive services to ensure a successful discharge planning process.
Promotes positive patient-family-community relations • Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to diffuse psychotic and/or behavioral crises to ensure client, unit, and staff safety and stability • Other duties as assigned Qualifications include: • Master’s Degree in Social Work /Counseling or equivalent Master’s Degree in a recognized health field • 1 year experience preferred • LGSW/LMSW/LGPC in the State of Maryland or equivalent licensure Work
Schedule: Employment Type: Full-time Hours per Week: 40 hrs/week Typical Daily
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am - 4:30pm Shift Type: Day Shift Weekend Requirements: Weekend rotation requirement Holiday Requirements: Required to work 2 major and 2 minor holidays per year Shift Differential Eligible: Yes $10,000 sign-on bonus over 3 installments (paid at 90 days, 1 year & 2 years of hire date) *Current AHC employees are not eligible for a sign-on bonus who are transferring from one entity to another and/or transferring within their entity.
Employees that have terminated their employment with AHC are not eligible for a sign-on bonus prior to six months of returning if hired for a position offering a sign-on bonus.
Pay Range: $29.08 - $48.25 If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
