Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Home Health Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide high-quality occupational therapy services to patients in Mobile and Baldwin Counties. The ideal candidate will evaluate and treat patients with physical, cognitive, or developmental impairments, helping them regain independence in daily activities. This role involves working closely with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Key Responsibilities: Conduct assessments to evaluate patients’ functional abilities, including activities of daily living (ADLs), motor skills, and home environment safety. Develop and implement customized treatment plans to improve patients’ independence and quality of life. Provide therapeutic interventions, including adaptive equipment recommendations, home modifications, and patient/family education. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Document patient progress accurately and timely in accordance with regulatory and company standards. Maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines, including Alabama licensure requirements. Qualifications: Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program. Current Occupational Therapy license in the state of Alabama. Minimum of 1 year of experience in occupational therapy; home health experience preferred. Valid Alabama driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel within Mobile and Baldwin Counties. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-focused approach. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
