About This Role
Aegis Therapies is hiring an Occupational Therapist to work in a rehabilitation setting within a continuing care retirement community in Alaska. You'll deliver OT services to residents across different care levels, helping them maintain independence and quality of life. The role offers flexibility with 20-40 hours per week available based on your schedule needs, making it suitable for both full-time and part-time candidates. You'll work in a modern facility on expansive grounds designed to support resident wellness. This position works well for therapists who want predictable scheduling without travel demands, enjoy working with older adults in a team-based care environment, and value the stability of facility-based practice over contract or travel assignments.

Frequently asked questions
What license do I need to apply?
An active state license in your discipline (PT, OT, SLP, LCSW, LPC, BCBA, etc.) in good standing. Therapy licensure is state-specific — the PT, OT, and ASLP-IC compacts let you practice in member states without a separate license.
Is this a school-year or year-round position?
School-based therapy roles typically follow a 9- or 10-month school-year calendar with summers off. Outpatient, hospital, home-health, and telehealth positions are year-round with PTO. Both options are widely available — check the job description for specifics.
What experience is expected?
Most therapy roles welcome new grads through mid-career clinicians. Specialty positions (acute care, NICU, pediatric feeding, hand therapy) typically prefer 2+ years plus relevant certifications.
