Mental Health Clinical Nurse Coordinator RN

Dominion Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Mental Health Clinical Nurse Coordinator RN to support our specialized mental health services for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors.

In this role, you will provide compassionate, patient-centered care while coordinating clinical nursing activities on your unit to ensure safe, high-quality treatment for individuals experiencing behavioral health and psychiatric conditions.

As a key clinical leader at the bedside, you will support the nursing team with patient assessments, treatment planning, medication administration, crisis intervention, and ongoing evaluation of patient progress.

You will collaborate closely with psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and other interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans that promote stabilization, recovery, and reintegration into the community.

The Mental Health Clinical Nurse Coordinator RN will serve as a resource and role model for staff nurses and mental health technicians, offering guidance in clinical decision making, trauma-informed care practices, de-escalation techniques, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

You will participate in staff education, mentoring, and precepting new team members, helping to build a supportive, learning-oriented environment.

Responsibilities include coordinating daily patient flow, overseeing admission and discharge processes, ensuring accurate documentation, and monitoring compliance with hospital policies and evidence-based practice guidelines.

You will help lead quality and performance improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes, patient experience, and staff engagement.
