Job Description
Capstone Healthcare Staffing is seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide high-quality rehabilitative care for patients in San Ramon, CA. In this role, you will partner with a respected local healthcare facility to help patients regain independence, improve daily function, and enhance their overall quality of life. As an Occupational Therapist with Capstone Healthcare Staffing, you will perform comprehensive patient evaluations, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions that support functional recovery. You will work with patients across a variety of diagnoses—orthopedic, neurological, post-surgical, and complex medical conditions—focusing on activities of daily living (ADLs), instrumental ADLs, functional mobility, upper extremity function, cognition, and safety. You will recommend and train patients in the use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications, and provide education to patients and families to support safe discharge and successful continuation of care at home or in the community. You will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nursing staff, physical and speech therapists, social workers, and case managers, to coordinate patient-centered care and achieve meaningful functional outcomes. Accurate and timely documentation within the facility’s electronic medical record is essential, as is adherence to all regulatory, payer, and professional standards. You will be supported by Capstone Healthcare Staffing’s dedicated team, who prioritize quality placements and a culture of care for both clients and clinicians. Capstone Healthcare Staffing offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment that values professionalism, integrity, and clinical excellence. You will benefit from flexible, full-time scheduling aligned with facility needs, competitive compensation with potential bonus opportunities, and the chance to grow your career while contributing to a mission-driven organization that connects skilled healthcare professionals to impactful roles across the United States. This position is ideal for an Occupational Therapist who is patient-focused, organized, and committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based rehabilitative care in a collaborative on-site clinical setting in San Ramon, CA.

Frequently asked questions
What license do I need to apply?
An active state license in your discipline (PT, OT, SLP, LCSW, LPC, BCBA, etc.) in good standing. Therapy licensure is state-specific — the PT, OT, and ASLP-IC compacts let you practice in member states without a separate license.
Is this a school-year or year-round position?
School-based therapy roles typically follow a 9- or 10-month school-year calendar with summers off. Outpatient, hospital, home-health, and telehealth positions are year-round with PTO. Both options are widely available — check the job description for specifics.
What experience is expected?
Most therapy roles welcome new grads through mid-career clinicians. Specialty positions (acute care, NICU, pediatric feeding, hand therapy) typically prefer 2+ years plus relevant certifications.
