Job Description: Easterseals NH is seeking a Behavior Specialist for our team.
Strong candidates will help to develop comprehensive behavioral interventions and training plans using non-aversive approaches.
Responsible for program oversight to include policy development and compliance with applicable state, federal, and licensing requirements.
Qualifications: Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or Psychology, OR Twelve (12) years’ experience may be substituted for the Master’s Degree, OR Combination of Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field with two (2) years’ experience with the targeted population may be substituted for Master’s Degree and required working experience Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working with people who have developmental disabilities preferred Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Essential Responsibilities: Responsible for program oversight to include policy development and compliance with applicable state, federal, and licensing requirements.
Provide training to direct support staff and management staff in the areas of; physical interventions, non-aversive behavior supports, client rights, incident reporting, data collection and person specific plans & protocols.
Facilitate and track the documentation of target behaviors as specified in each individual’s behavior support plan or guidelines and formally summarize on a monthly basis.
Using functional analysis procedures, develop comprehensive behavioral interventions and training plans using non-aversive approaches.
Develop protocols and guidelines for individuals served.
Write monthly reports for all persons on psychological service caseload.
Develop data collection & tracking systems for staff, providers and families.
Work with department managers to identify individuals who require psychological services.
Attend physician / psychiatric appointments as needed.
Attend and participate in all applicable clinical and person-specific meetings.
Participate in psycho-educational activities.
Complete annual summaries based on review of all persons on caseload and review of managers’ monthly report.
Responsible for processing appropriate billing materials.
Respond to request for proposals based on analysis of program needs.
