About This Role
Home Health of Western Colorado is hiring a PRN (as-needed) Occupational Therapist to deliver in-home therapy services to patients in the Delta and Montrose area. You'll conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide hands-on therapy to help clients regain independence in daily activities. This is part-time, flexible work—you choose shifts that fit your schedule, making it ideal for therapists seeking work-life balance or those building a diverse caseload. You'll work autonomously in patients' homes rather than a clinic setting, which appeals to OTs who prefer direct patient interaction without facility overhead. This role suits licensed OTs who are self-motivated, comfortable with variable schedules, and passionate about home-based care.

Frequently asked questions
How does PRN therapy work?
PRN (per diem) therapists pick up shifts or visits as needed without a fixed weekly schedule. Some employers require a minimum number of shifts per month; home-health PRN is typically paid per visit.
Does PRN pay more than full-time?
Yes — PRN hourly and per-visit rates are typically 15–35% higher than full-time staff rates, since the role doesn't include benefits or guaranteed hours.
Are benefits included?
Most PRN therapy roles do not include health benefits or PTO; the higher rate offsets that. Some larger systems offer benefits at higher commitment tiers.
