About This Role
This role involves providing direct counseling and case management support to pediatric patients and their families within St. Joseph's Health's Child Development Center. You'll work as part of a multidisciplinary team, conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and using counseling techniques to help young clients engage in their care. A significant part of your day includes connecting families with community resources, benefits programs, and other services they may need. You'll also conduct outreach to families who are hesitant about treatment, helping to build trust and increase service engagement. This position suits counselors who are comfortable working with children and parents, have strong communication skills, and are motivated to help vulnerable populations navigate complex systems and access needed support.
