Job Description
Stellar Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist Registered to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team and support residents across our senior living communities.
In this role, you will work with older adults in independent living, assisted living, and memory care settings to assess functional abilities, develop personalized treatment plans, and provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions that promote independence, safety, and quality of life.
You will complete comprehensive evaluations, including physical, cognitive, and functional assessments, collaborate closely with nursing staff and other members of the interdisciplinary care team, and educate residents and families on adaptive techniques, home exercise programs, and the safe use of assistive devices.
As an integral member of a compassionate, growth-focused culture, you will document all services in accordance with professional and regulatory standards, participate in care conferences, and help shape resident-centered goals that align with our mission of enhancing lives and fostering community.
This position includes responsibilities for maintaining accurate treatment records, monitoring resident progress, adjusting care plans based on changing needs, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
You will mentor and support therapy assistants or aides as appropriate, contribute to fall-prevention and wellness initiatives, and help develop group and individual programs that enhance mobility, cognition, and engagement.
Stellar Senior Living offers an environment that values personal and professional development, where your clinical expertise, empathy, and commitment to high-quality care directly impact residents and their families every day.

Frequently asked questions
What license do I need to apply?
An active state license in your discipline (PT, OT, SLP, LCSW, LPC, BCBA, etc.) in good standing. Therapy licensure is state-specific — the PT, OT, and ASLP-IC compacts let you practice in member states without a separate license.
Is this a school-year or year-round position?
School-based therapy roles typically follow a 9- or 10-month school-year calendar with summers off. Outpatient, hospital, home-health, and telehealth positions are year-round with PTO. Both options are widely available — check the job description for specifics.
What experience is expected?
Most therapy roles welcome new grads through mid-career clinicians. Specialty positions (acute care, NICU, pediatric feeding, hand therapy) typically prefer 2+ years plus relevant certifications.
