Job Description
Position: Speech-Language Pathologist
Schedule: Flexible to meet the needs of the program; 8:30-4:30 pm Location: Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Center Program Job Description: The Speech-Language Pathologist will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapists, and other professionals, to deliver comprehensive speech-language services to clients.
This role involves conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, providing training and guidance to staff, and working closely with clients' Clinical Team and families to support continuity of care.
Responsibilities: Conduct thorough speech-language assessments for clients, evaluating communication abilities, speech production, language comprehension, and related skills.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the specific needs and goals of each client.
Collaborate with other professionals to ensure that speech-language services are integrated into the overall care plan.
Provide training and guidance to staff on communication techniques, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and other relevant topics.
Consult with clients' families to educate them about speech-language goals and strategies to support progress at home.
Monitor and document clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
Participate in team meetings to discuss client progress and contribute to the ongoing development of the program.
Qualifications: Current certification and licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Rhode Island.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in speech-language therapy, with a focus on pediatric, autism diagnosis, or developmental disabilities preferred.
Strong understanding of speech-language development and communication disorders.
Experience with AAC devices and techniques is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
