About This Role
This full-time position (35 hours weekly) involves working directly with individuals to assess their needs and help them develop personalized wellness plans using a recovery-focused approach. You'll conduct both in-office and community-based assessments, keeping sessions solution-focused and strength-based while centering on what clients actually want to achieve. The role is hands-on and client-centered, requiring someone who can build rapport, listen effectively, and guide people toward their own goals rather than imposing solutions. You should be comfortable working in a behavioral health setting, organized enough to manage multiple assessments and plans, and genuinely interested in helping people move forward. Best fits have some background in counseling, social work, or related fields, though specific credentials may vary based on program requirements.

Frequently asked questions
What license do I need to apply?
An active state license in your discipline (PT, OT, SLP, LCSW, LPC, BCBA, etc.) in good standing. Therapy licensure is state-specific — the PT, OT, and ASLP-IC compacts let you practice in member states without a separate license.
Is this a school-year or year-round position?
School-based therapy roles typically follow a 9- or 10-month school-year calendar with summers off. Outpatient, hospital, home-health, and telehealth positions are year-round with PTO. Both options are widely available — check the job description for specifics.
What experience is expected?
Most therapy roles welcome new grads through mid-career clinicians. Specialty positions (acute care, NICU, pediatric feeding, hand therapy) typically prefer 2+ years plus relevant certifications.
