About This Role
This position offers physical therapists the chance to work in a skilled nursing facility setting in Florida, where you'll develop and deliver treatment plans for patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery. Your days will involve one-on-one patient sessions, documentation, and collaboration with nursing and medical staff to support resident rehabilitation goals. You'll work a standard full-time schedule with regular home time, allowing for work-life balance in a healthcare team environment. This role suits PTs who enjoy working with diverse patient populations across the lifespan, prefer the stability of facility-based practice over traveling routes, and take satisfaction in helping seniors regain mobility and independence. Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt treatment approaches to individual patient needs are essential.

Frequently asked questions
What license do I need to apply?
An active state license in your discipline (PT, OT, SLP, LCSW, LPC, BCBA, etc.) in good standing. Therapy licensure is state-specific — the PT, OT, and ASLP-IC compacts let you practice in member states without a separate license.
Is this a school-year or year-round position?
School-based therapy roles typically follow a 9- or 10-month school-year calendar with summers off. Outpatient, hospital, home-health, and telehealth positions are year-round with PTO. Both options are widely available — check the job description for specifics.
What experience is expected?
Most therapy roles welcome new grads through mid-career clinicians. Specialty positions (acute care, NICU, pediatric feeding, hand therapy) typically prefer 2+ years plus relevant certifications.
