Position Summary/Department Summary: Full time social worker needed to provide a range of clinical social work services to patients and families in our new TZield Program for management of early-stage Type 1 Diabetes. The TZield Program is a multidisciplinary clinic that provides a supportive team environment with opportunities for professional growth and development. Key Responsibilities: Psychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, individual and family counseling, potentially group psychoeducational interventions. Interventions will be both in person and via telehealth. Working with our Patient Navigators to help patients and families gain access to services and resources within and outside of BCH system. Collaborating and consulting with our multidisciplinary team around management of psychosocial issues including but not limited to coping and adjustment to medical diagnoses, difficulties with treatment regimen, family distress related to medical condition, parenting and caregiver concerns, trauma, child protection concerns and domestic violence. Developing new programmatic initiatives to support patients and families in the TZield Program Supporting research and Quality Improvement efforts in the TZield Program Minimum Qualifications Education: Master’s degree in social work
Experience: Experience in medical environment and with child protection issues helpful. Flexibility and ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environment. Excellent teamwork and communication skills are necessary. Licensure/Certifications: Social Work licensure in the state of Massachusetts. LCSW required, LICSW preferred. This position requires occasional travel to our satellite location in Waltham New hires are eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting. Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
