About This Role
This travel position places you as a home health physical therapist serving patients across a rural area spanning Idaho and Washington. You'll spend your days conducting in-home patient evaluations and therapy sessions, managing your own caseload, and documenting treatment progress. The role runs 40 hours weekly over a 13-week assignment, giving you a defined short-term commitment with built-in flexibility. You'll earn $2,625 per week, providing solid income stability for the contract period. This role suits therapists who are self-motivated, comfortable working independently in various home settings, and adaptable to rural practice. If you're looking for a temporary placement in the Pacific Northwest with predictable hours and the chance to establish quick patient relationships before moving on, this assignment offers that pathway.

Frequently asked questions
How long is a typical travel therapy contract?
Most travel therapy contracts run 13 weeks, with the option to extend or take a new assignment after each contract. Shorter 8-week and longer 26-week contracts are also common, especially for SLPs in school settings.
Is housing provided or is there a stipend?
Most travel agencies offer a tax-free housing stipend rather than agency-arranged housing. Stipends vary by city and assignment, typically $1,200–$2,400 per month on top of weekly taxable pay.
Do I need a license in every state I travel to?
Yes — PT, OT, and SLP licensure is regulated state-by-state. The PT and OT compacts (PT Compact, OT Compact) let you practice in member states with a compact privilege; SLPs use the ASLP-IC compact. Non-compact states still require a state-specific license before you start.
