Job Description
Stellar Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team dedicated to serving seniors in our independent living, assisted living, and memory care communities.
In this role, you will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to deliver high-quality rehabilitative and restorative care that helps residents maintain independence, improve functional abilities, and enhance their overall quality of life.
You will assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, supporting residents with activities of daily living, therapeutic exercises, adaptive equipment use, and functional mobility.
You will observe, document, and report resident progress and changes in condition, ensuring timely communication with the interdisciplinary care team, families, and nursing staff.
You will collaborate closely with nurses and caregivers to integrate occupational therapy goals into daily care routines, offering guidance on safe transfer techniques, environmental modifications, and strategies to promote resident engagement and safety.
You will help educate residents and families about therapeutic techniques, home safety, and adaptive strategies that support continued independence.

You will contribute to a supportive community by encouraging resident participation in group and individual therapy sessions, wellness activities, and purposeful daily routines tailored to their cognitive and physical abilities.
You will maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory standards and company policies, assist with scheduling and coordinating therapy sessions, and participate in care conferences and quality improvement initiatives.
