Job Description
ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team supporting children and young adults with diverse communication needs.
In this role, you will use your clinical expertise and passion for helping others to deliver high-quality, evidence-based speech and language services within a collaborative, child-centered environment.
You will conduct comprehensive assessments, interpret standardized test results, and develop individualized treatment plans that address articulation, language, fluency, voice, social communication, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) needs.
Working closely with behavior analysts, special educators, therapists, and families, you will help integrate speech-language goals into broader behavioral and educational programs so each learner can reach their full potential.
You will provide direct therapy, consultation, and caregiver training, actively participate in IEP development and review, and use ongoing data collection to monitor progress and refine interventions.
As part of ChanceLight’s nurturing and innovative culture, you will contribute to a supportive team atmosphere that values respect, teamwork, and continuous learning, while maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to all ethical, clinical, and regulatory standards.
This position offers the opportunity to grow your skills through comprehensive training and professional development, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and make a meaningful impact on the lives of children, young adults, and their families every day, with a work model that may include a blend of center-based, school-based, and limited remote responsibilities depending on program needs.

Frequently asked questions
What license do I need to apply?
An active state license in your discipline (PT, OT, SLP, LCSW, LPC, BCBA, etc.) in good standing. Therapy licensure is state-specific — the PT, OT, and ASLP-IC compacts let you practice in member states without a separate license.
Is this a school-year or year-round position?
School-based therapy roles typically follow a 9- or 10-month school-year calendar with summers off. Outpatient, hospital, home-health, and telehealth positions are year-round with PTO. Both options are widely available — check the job description for specifics.
What experience is expected?
Most therapy roles welcome new grads through mid-career clinicians. Specialty positions (acute care, NICU, pediatric feeding, hand therapy) typically prefer 2+ years plus relevant certifications.
