Job Description
Marshfield Clinic – Marshfield Children’s is seeking a compassionate, licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team within our integrated pediatric health system.
In this role, you will provide diagnostic evaluations, treatment, and ongoing management of speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive-communication, and feeding/swallowing disorders for infants, children, and adolescents across inpatient and outpatient settings.
Partnering closely with pediatricians, nurses, occupational and physical therapists, psychologists, social workers, and families, you will design and implement evidence-based, individualized treatment plans that support each child’s communication, learning, and overall development.
You will conduct standardized assessments, interpret results, document findings, and monitor progress using electronic health records while communicating clearly with families, schools, and other community partners.
You will provide caregiver and family education, home programming, and coordination of services to ensure continuity of care, as well as participate in multidisciplinary team conferences, care planning, and discharge planning.
This position offers opportunities to engage in quality improvement, education, and research initiatives that advance pediatric speech-language pathology and support continuous improvement across the health system.
You will contribute to a collaborative, patient-first culture grounded in compassion, integrity, and innovation, and benefit from ongoing professional development, mentorship, and support for specialty interests such as autism spectrum disorders, augmentative and alternative communication, pediatric feeding, and medically complex populations.

Frequently asked questions
What license do I need to apply?
An active state license in your discipline (PT, OT, SLP, LCSW, LPC, BCBA, etc.) in good standing. Therapy licensure is state-specific — the PT, OT, and ASLP-IC compacts let you practice in member states without a separate license.
Is this a school-year or year-round position?
School-based therapy roles typically follow a 9- or 10-month school-year calendar with summers off. Outpatient, hospital, home-health, and telehealth positions are year-round with PTO. Both options are widely available — check the job description for specifics.
What experience is expected?
Most therapy roles welcome new grads through mid-career clinicians. Specialty positions (acute care, NICU, pediatric feeding, hand therapy) typically prefer 2+ years plus relevant certifications.
