About This Role
As a PRN Physical Therapy Assistant at our Hudson skilled nursing facility, you'll work on a flexible schedule supporting patient rehabilitation and recovery. Your day involves assisting licensed physical therapists with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and patient care in a skilled nursing environment. This role suits candidates who hold current Florida PTA licensure and want schedule flexibility without sacrificing meaningful patient interaction. Frequently asked questions
How does PRN therapy work?
PRN (per diem) therapists pick up shifts or visits as needed without a fixed weekly schedule. Some employers require a minimum number of shifts per month; home-health PRN is typically paid per visit.
Does PRN pay more than full-time?
Yes — PRN hourly and per-visit rates are typically 15–35% higher than full-time staff rates, since the role doesn't include benefits or guaranteed hours.
Are benefits included?
Most PRN therapy roles do not include health benefits or PTO; the higher rate offsets that. Some larger systems offer benefits at higher commitment tiers.
