Job Description

Eastside Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team, providing specialized care to patients recovering from illness, injury, and complex medical conditions.

In this role, you will deliver advanced rehabilitation services designed to help patients regain mobility, restore function, and improve their overall quality of life.

Working within a compassionate, patient-centered culture, you will perform comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions focused on daily living skills, functional mobility, cognitive and perceptual abilities, and use of adaptive equipment.

You will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, physical therapists, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate holistic care tailored to each patient’s unique needs.

Daily responsibilities include conducting detailed assessments, providing hands-on treatment sessions, educating patients and families on home programs and long-term management strategies, and documenting all care in the electronic medical record.

You will actively participate in case conferences, goal-setting, and discharge planning to support safe transitions and sustained functional gains after hospitalization.

Eastside Rehabilitation Hospital offers a supportive environment that emphasizes empathy, professionalism, and teamwork, as well as robust opportunities for professional growth.

As an Occupational Therapist here, you will engage in continuous learning, stay current with best practices in rehabilitation, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient outcomes.

This position is ideal for a clinician who is passionate about rehabilitation, enjoys collaborative practice, and is committed to delivering personalized, high-quality care in a hospital-based setting.

  • What license do I need to apply?

An active state license in your discipline (PT, OT, SLP, LCSW, LPC, BCBA, etc.) in good standing. Therapy licensure is state-specific — the PT, OT, and ASLP-IC compacts let you practice in member states without a separate license.

  • Is this a school-year or year-round position?

School-based therapy roles typically follow a 9- or 10-month school-year calendar with summers off. Outpatient, hospital, home-health, and telehealth positions are year-round with PTO. Both options are widely available — check the job description for specifics.

  • What experience is expected?

Most therapy roles welcome new grads through mid-career clinicians. Specialty positions (acute care, NICU, pediatric feeding, hand therapy) typically prefer 2+ years plus relevant certifications.
