Job Description
Lutheran Social Services seeks a compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor to provide evidence-based counseling, assessments, and treatment planning for adults and families affected by substance use disorders.
In this mission-driven, faith-informed, and client-centered role, you will deliver individual and group counseling, coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams, and advocate for recovery resources.
The counselor will maintain accurate documentation, support relapse prevention, engage community partners, and promote dignity, inclusion, and social justice in all interactions while helping clients achieve long-term recovery goals.
