About This Role
As a Physical Therapy Assistant in home health, you'll travel to patients' homes throughout Arkansas to provide direct rehabilitation support. Your days involve working one-on-one with patients to help them regain strength, mobility, and independence through hands-on therapy and exercises tailored to their recovery needs. This field-based role keeps you moving between patients rather than working in a clinic setting. You'll be responsible for delivering personalized care that measurably impacts each patient's progress toward their goals. The ideal candidate has a PTA license, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently in patients' homes while maintaining high standards of care. You should be organized, compassionate, and comfortable adapting your approach to different home environments and patient situations.

Frequently asked questions
What license do I need to apply?
An active state license in your discipline (PT, OT, SLP, LCSW, LPC, BCBA, etc.) in good standing. Therapy licensure is state-specific — the PT, OT, and ASLP-IC compacts let you practice in member states without a separate license.
Is this a school-year or year-round position?
School-based therapy roles typically follow a 9- or 10-month school-year calendar with summers off. Outpatient, hospital, home-health, and telehealth positions are year-round with PTO. Both options are widely available — check the job description for specifics.
What experience is expected?
Most therapy roles welcome new grads through mid-career clinicians. Specialty positions (acute care, NICU, pediatric feeding, hand therapy) typically prefer 2+ years plus relevant certifications.
