About This Role
You'll work directly with patients in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities, helping seniors regain mobility and independence through hands-on therapy under a Physical Therapist's supervision. Day-to-day tasks involve executing personalized treatment plans, documenting patient progress in electronic records, and educating both patients and their families about exercises and recovery goals. This role requires someone who genuinely cares about older adults and can communicate clearly while providing compassionate care. You'll need a PTA license and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams. If you're motivated by seeing tangible improvements in patients' quality of life and prefer working in a care-focused environment rather than high-volume settings, this position offers meaningful clinical work in the Pestletown area.

Frequently asked questions
What license do I need to apply?
An active state license in your discipline (PT, OT, SLP, LCSW, LPC, BCBA, etc.) in good standing. Therapy licensure is state-specific — the PT, OT, and ASLP-IC compacts let you practice in member states without a separate license.
Is this a school-year or year-round position?
School-based therapy roles typically follow a 9- or 10-month school-year calendar with summers off. Outpatient, hospital, home-health, and telehealth positions are year-round with PTO. Both options are widely available — check the job description for specifics.
What experience is expected?
Most therapy roles welcome new grads through mid-career clinicians. Specialty positions (acute care, NICU, pediatric feeding, hand therapy) typically prefer 2+ years plus relevant certifications.
