About This Role
As a licensed mental health therapist with Headway, you'll provide therapy sessions to patients through our telehealth platform, working entirely remotely from Oregon. Your days involve conducting video consultations, developing treatment plans, and maintaining detailed clinical documentation. You'll work with our insurance integration system, which handles most billing and authorization hassles on the backend. This role suits licensed therapists who are comfortable with digital-first practice and want flexibility in their schedule—you'll have autonomy over your client load and availability. Strong communication skills and experience with common mental health conditions are essential. If you're looking to build a therapy practice without the overhead of a traditional office while helping underserved patients access care, this position offers that balance.

Frequently asked questions
What license do I need to apply?
An active state license in your discipline (PT, OT, SLP, LCSW, LPC, BCBA, etc.) in good standing. Therapy licensure is state-specific — the PT, OT, and ASLP-IC compacts let you practice in member states without a separate license.
Is this a school-year or year-round position?
School-based therapy roles typically follow a 9- or 10-month school-year calendar with summers off. Outpatient, hospital, home-health, and telehealth positions are year-round with PTO. Both options are widely available — check the job description for specifics.
What experience is expected?
Most therapy roles welcome new grads through mid-career clinicians. Specialty positions (acute care, NICU, pediatric feeding, hand therapy) typically prefer 2+ years plus relevant certifications.
